Awards 2012
The nomination period is now open for the 2012 IAAE Service Recognition Awards. Who do you know who deserves to be recognized for dedication to arts education? This is your opportunity to recognize them! Awards are presented in the following categories: Artist, Arts Educator, IAAE Organization, Industry, Public/Community Service, School Administration, Schools of Distinction and Arts Exemplar. Nominations must be postmarked by December 20, 2011. The nomination form can be downloaded here in Word format and here in PDF format. Information on qualifications for each category can be downloaded here (PDF). The Awards Recognition Ceremony will be held at the Governor Mansion, Springfield on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Awards 2011
The 2011 IAAE Service Recognition Awards Ceremony was held in Springfield on March 17, at the Governor's Mansion. This year 24 individuals and organizations were recognized for their part in promoting and supporting arts education in Illinois. Dr. Christopher Koch, State Superintendent of Education, was in attendance, along with many others. For a PDF of images of many of the honorees, click here. Awards 2010
The 2010 IAAE Service Recognition Awards ceremony was held at the Governor's Mansion in Springfield on March 18, 2010. Part of the ceremony was the reading of the Proclamation for Illinois Arts Education Week. Many of the poster contest honorees and artwork were also there. Awards 2009
Leepertown Grade School Superintendent Amber Harper received the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education Organization Award for her continued support, long term dedication and countless hours of volunteering to the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education and the Arts in Illinois. In addition to serving on the Alliance Board, she has a seat on the National Leadership Committee through the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education in Washington, D.C.
